Since 2010, I've been teaching kids and adults how to use digital cameras, how to develop their photographic eye and how (and why) to begin critiquing work. My philosophy is that aesthetically, anyone can take a great picture with any camera but deeper than that, photography can become a personal journey, providing layers of outlets for an individual. I introduce key photographic concepts and host a variety of activities and challenges where experimentation is encouraged.
I bring a unique blend of meaningful discourse, tailored curriculum and technical expertise to my photography workshops. I regularly work with non-profits, schools, sponsored events and private groups in Toronto and the GTA. Having established strong partnerships with educators and leading arts organizations, I often take on short-term contracts designing and/or delivering photography workshops in Toronto.
Past workshop topics have included: Photography 101: Introduction to Digital Photography, Creative Photography Techniques (digital), Seeing Light, How to Make Good Images in Difficult Lighting Conditions etc.
