Wedding at Pitot House in New Orleans
One of the best, most relaxed, heart-felt and delicious weddings I've ever been to! Andrea and Evan hosted the sweetest backyard-bbq wedding on the Bayou in New Orleans. Their colour-scheme was grey, there were picnic blankets on the grass, their two dogs almost stole the show and they had a sparkler exit into a pickup truck dragging 'just married' cans. If this was a quintessential Louisiana wedding, I totally approve. We started the day at their cute home with the girls, drinking rosé and hanging with the dogs. They had their first look on the romantic Magnolia Bridge and took portraits around their venue, Pitot House, and casually throughout the lush surrounding neighbourhood. New Orleans has a fascinating and gorgeous landscape, if you haven't been before I highly recommend a visit. We spent the rest of the day and night at Pitot House, getting married on the balcony, eating at picnic tables and having the most epic wedding dance party I've ever seen. I wouldn't expect anything less from patrons of the music city. And yes, that is absolutely a photo of the happy couple eating pulled-pork as they sign their marriage certificate. I love NOLA. Thank you for having me A+E, it was a pleasure xo
*Special thank you to Christina Gapic for lending her talents and second-shooting this one with me.
