Fall Wedding at Kurtz Orchards

Melissa & Davor are a super fun couple who know how to have a good time. I had the best time getting to know these two during their engagement session in the distillery district and became addicted to their chemistry. The truth is we had a little too much fun and ended up with a pitcher of sangria in our possession which was too much of a disruption so we had to regroup and finish their engagement photos on another day. It worked out well because we did the second engagement session on a rainy night at their home in the Junction. I love nighttime engagement sessions, see the images we made here.

Their wedding was on a cold Fall day on the Kurtz Orchard property in Niagara on the Lake. Deciding to do everything on this property was a really good idea because getting ready at Gracewood Estates is always so beautiful! The ceremony was supposed to be outdoors in the vineyard but we ended up using the bigtop tent to block some of the wind. It was set up beautifully and offered delicious hot apple cider and other bevvies for the guests while they waited for the ceremony to begin.

After the ceremony, the guests took a 5 minute tractor-train ride to the main Kurtz Orchards building for the reception. In the meantime, we did the bridal party photos and the portraits on the grounds at Gracewood. At the reception, the food was served family-style and was a really good variety of different meats, veggies, salads and sides. They had one main wedding cake but lots of guests brought beautiful cakes and desserts to add to the sweet table which was really sweet! (heh)
